The Board of Directors of your Community Services District are presently formulating plans for the next five, ten and fifteen years. The decisions made now will preserve our community independence and assure continuity for the future. Your Board meetings are open meetings. We invite and encourage you to attend. The meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the office located at 1880 Acacia Avenue at 7:00 PM. Geri Goetzinger, District Manager
ARE YOU MOVING? When you are moving out of your current home, the Water District needs to receive a telephone call from you. We need to know the shut off date and then we can turn the water off on that date and you will not be responsible for further water usage. Sometimes, we receive a call after the individual has been out of the home for a month or more and they are still getting the bills. Often, someone has moved into the house and just continued using the water. Until you request a turn--off, you are responsible for the costs incurred.
SO PLEASE PICK UP THE PHONE AND GIVE US A CALL. IT IS TO PROTECT YOU.

PAYMENT OF BILLS Please note that when you receive your bill, it is due and payable upon receipt. You use the water, then you pay for the water. The bill must be paid before the 20th, or a $7.50 penalty is applied. For those customers who become 2 months behind in their payments, a 24 hour shut-off notice is sent. When you receive a 24-hour shut-off notice, ALL THE BILL must be paid. When arrangements are made to pay the balance on a promised date, the total balance on the account must be paid. When the service is shut off for non-payment, the $40.00 shut-off fee must be paid before the service can be turned on. If a customer turns the service on without paying, then another $20.00 charge is added to the account, and at that point the customer is actually stealing water. Thank you for your cooperation regarding payment of the water bill. If you have any questions, please contact the secretary at the office.
FROM YOUR MANAGER A SIGH OF RELIEF!! Yes, that is what you heard. We now have a generator. Since the evacuation in January of 1997, we have realized that if the power is shut off for any reason, we would not have enough water to last more than a couple of days, even with rationing. Then with the power outages and the uncertainty of future power, we were even more concerned. In talking with customers in the district, we came to realize that 90% of you thought we already had alternative power. Now if the power goes off, we can proceed with some confidence. |
